Carrol Castille, owner of Whispering Oaks, has spent most of his life in racing and breeding. He has over 38 years of experience in the thoroughbred and quarter horse industries. He began in racing at 16 and remains passionate about it. Carrol serves on the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association board and has served on the Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association. He is active in the Louisiana Thoroughbred Association and Louisiana Quarter Horse Association.

Carrol brought top U.S. stallion bloodlines to Louisiana, strengthening the state’s breeding program. For 2025 Whispering Oaks stands five stallions: IRON FIST (by Tapit), KEEPMEINMIND (by Laoban), NO PAROLE (by Violence), COLONELSDARKTEMPER (by Colonel John), RUSHIE (by Liam's Map), and WIT (by Practical Joke).
